Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice Units. Maintains clinical expertise for departmental assignments as needed. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs, and delegates tasks to Respiratory Therapists, externs, and students, as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. Candidates with neonatal intensive care experience are preferred but not required. Experience working in a trauma facility is also preferred but not required.
