Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 4 years of experience preferred; open to candidates with 2+ years of experience License: Must have another state license; pending license accepted if can obtain temporary license before start Certifications: RRT, BLS required; ACLS preferred; ACCS preferred Must-Have: Adult Critical Care experience; strong communication and critical thinking skills Description: This position involves providing respiratory therapy in a multidisciplinary team environment. Candidates should be proactive and work to the top of their license. Responsibilities include performing procedures such as bronchoscopy, extubation, and chest physiotherapy. Experience with high flow nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, and intubation assistance is required. Knowledge of interpreting arterial blood gases and performing tracheostomy care is essential. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and accommodate two out of three winter holidays. Floating between sections may occur as needed. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective teamwork in patient care. A focus on safety and adherence to protocols is expected in all procedures.
