Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active IL license required Certifications: BLS and RRT required Must-Have: - Adult Critical Care experience - Emergency Department experience - Required skills in airway management devices and suctioning - Required nebulizer and oxygen therapy skills - Required ventilator management skills - Cerner charting experience Description: Position available for a Respiratory Therapist (RRT). This role requires working night shifts of 3x12 hours. The therapist is expected to manage a caseload of patients. First-time travelers are accepted. The therapist will work every other weekend. On-call responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Floating within the facility may occur if necessary. No radius restrictions for local candidates. A maximum of five days of time off is preferred. The position involves caring for adult patients in critical care and emergency settings. Skills required include endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement, and oral airway placement. Additional skills include bag and mask ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management, and troubleshooting ventilator alarms. Experience with teaching hospitals or trauma centers is preferred. The facility is an acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds and is recognized for its excellence in care. Daily census is approximately 400 patients. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Special equipment used includes PB840, PB980, ParaPac, and Hamilton.
