Description:
The position is for a Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing care in a 180-bed facility.
The average daily census is 130 patients.
The therapist will work three 12-hour night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30.
Patients may include all age groups with various diagnoses.
The therapist will assist with bronchoscopies as needed.
Routine responsibilities include nighttime and daytime SAT/SBT.
The therapist will respond to all codes and traumas in the emergency department.
Care includes neonatal patients in a Level II nursery, with occasional needs for bubble CPAP and invasive mechanical ventilation.
During RSV season, the therapist may treat pediatric patients with HFNC.
The equipment used includes various ventilators and nebulizers.
The therapist may float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.
Weekend coverage is required every other or every third weekend, depending on department needs.
On-call duties are required during specific months.
The facility supports an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
Familiarity with Cerner charting is required, and community hospital experience is preferred.
