Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $1,907 per week in New Orleans, LA

Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following expectations. Upon accepting an assignment and starting in the role, the unit manager may assign them to an "Emergency Team." There may be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be communicated for each emergency event as impacts may vary. Travelers should only apply if they are comfortable with these expectations. Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend. Epic experience is preferred. The unit will accept first-time travelers but requires experienced respiratory therapists; no new graduates will be considered. Previous charge experience and patient ratio experience are preferred but not required. The following skills are essential: Adult Critical Care, bag and mask ventilation, drawing arterial blood gases, and weaning from mechanical ventilation. Additional skills and experience with procedures and equipment commonly used in respiratory therapy are necessary. References from previous supervisors will be required before starting the contract. All candidates should be prepared to demonstrate compliance with certifications and licensure requirements. Candidates must meet specific travel distance criteria and experience requirements. RTO must be disclosed in interviews. NURSYS reports must be up to date and submitted prior to starting. Candidates should be aware that former staff or in-house contractors must have been separated for one full year before returning as travelers.
