We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join a Level II trauma center in Lawton, OK and provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across a range of acuity levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, airway maintenance, and therapeutic interventions in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, including adjusting settings based on patient response
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results to guide therapy
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and bronchopulmonary hygiene treatments
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and airway management procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and update respiratory care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, and home care techniques
✅ Requirements
• Active OK RT license
• BLS/BCLS, RRT certifications
• 3+ years of Respiratory Therapist experience
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
Pay
Pay range: $1,872 to $1,940 per week.
Travel Respiratory Therapy RT package: up to $1,940/week (36 hours) = $31/hour taxable + up to $824/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules.
Local package: $52/hour fully taxable ($1,872/week for 36 hours).
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
