Description:
Position/Specialty: Adult RRT
Will consider CRT.
Will work 3x12 hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with holidays required.
Every other weekend is required.
Potential floating may occur but only if to the Main Client with similar policies, equipment, and charting requirements.
Emergency team activation is required as needed.
First-timers not accepted.
The facility is a teaching hospital with a total of 865 staffed beds.
The patient population includes nearly 200 beds, comprising 2 ICUs, 2 step-down floors, 4 general acute care floors, and a 21-bed emergency department.
The Cardiovascular ICU has 21 beds that cater to post-operative cardiac, thoracic, and complex vascular surgery patients, including heart and lung transplant, durable LVAD, temporary mechanical circulatory support, ECMO, IABP, and Impella patients.
The Medical-Surgical ICU has 18 beds for a mix of medical and abdominal surgical patients who may experience ARDS, septic shock, hematologic and oncologic emergencies, GI hemorrhage, pulmonary hypertension, or perforated viscous.
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
