Position/Specialty: Respiratory Therapist

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; may change as needed
RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: All requests must be included with the submission.
Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.
Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
Locals Accepted: Yes, with radius rule.
Required Skills:
Must have experience in extubation, nasal airway placements, suctioning, oral airway placement, oral suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene.
Must be experienced in sputum specimen collection and tracheostomy care.
Experience with administering medications such as albuterol, Atrovent, combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, and others is required.
Experience in delivering medication through various aerosol setups is essential.
Proficiency with high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy is required.
Experience with BiPAP and CPAP is necessary.
Must have troubleshooting skills for high pressure alarms, and experience in weaning from mechanical ventilation.
Floating to other units or campuses may be necessary based on facility needs.
Experience with charting in EPIC is required.
