First timers are accepted. Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. General skills required include Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department experience, BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. The ability to wean from mechanical ventilation and interpret arterial blood gases is essential. Preferred skills include pulmonary function testing. Pulmonary toileting is a required skill. Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred. Experience with various ventilators such as Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, Evita XL, Viasys Vela, and GE Carespace is preferred. Scrub color required is hunter green. Maximum RTO allowed is 7 days. Work is required every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Traveler is expected to work one major holiday during the assignment period. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler will be expected to work two. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, there may be a push back of 2 weeks due to the orientation schedule. Candidates will be reviewed clinically to determine fit. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Candidates must provide full-time availability.
