Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: ICU, Med Surg, ER, NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Respiratory Therapy credentials Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Registered Respiratory Therapy credentials ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP certifications Level 3 NICU skills Acute care experience with Med Surg, ER, and ICU Description: The purpose of this unit is to provide exceptional patient care with a focus on collaboration and efficiency. The unit consists of 160 beds and is staffed with a team of 32 professionals. Day Shift staff includes a minimum of 5-6 personnel. Night Shift staff consists of 4-4.5 personnel. The patient-to-staff ratio is managed using an RVU system. Essential equipment utilized on the unit includes ventilators, Bipaps, and High Flow Oxygen units. Experience managing ventilators and assisting with intubations is required. Proficiency in EMR charting is a must. The ideal candidate should possess strong time management skills to handle heavy patient loads. Candidates should be independent, self-motivated, and willing to work in a high-acuity setting. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in NICU settings. The dress code requires pewter gray scrubs. This unit boasts a family-oriented environment with experienced staff and motivated physicians. New equipment and technology are regularly introduced to enhance patient care. This position is created due to a vacancy within the team.
