- Location: West Jordan
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3×12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay:$1750 to $1950
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other prescribed respiratory therapies
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and assist with interpretation
- Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Assist physicians during emergency airway management, intubations, rapid responses, and code situations
- Perform pulmonary hygiene procedures, airway clearance therapies, and patient assessments
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, medications, breathing techniques, and home respiratory equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Follow infection prevention guidelines, patient safety standards, and departmental policies
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC
- Active Utah Respiratory Care License (or eligibility, as required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred or required by facility
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management, emergency respiratory care, and cardiopulmonary assessment
- Experience caring for adult critical care patients in an acute care setting
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced night shift environment
