Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide specialized care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) while working with pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-level care units as well as a strong background in pediatric respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients in NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings.
• Monitor and manage respiratory equipment and technology.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to team discussions regarding patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a pediatric high-level care environment, specifically in NICU, PICU, or CVICU.
• Current certifications in NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS are required.
• Ability to float between multiple locations, including rehab and various NICUs if needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Schedule

• Available shifts include 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour rotations.
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Additional Requirements

• Travelers must complete two fingerprinting processes prior to starting: one onsite for facility requirements and another through the agency.
• All work history, including previous positions in the region, must be included in the application profile.
• All required certification copies must be submitted with the application.
