Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) position located in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves providing pediatric critical care services in a dynamic healthcare environment. The assignment requires working during night shifts with a focus on acute pediatric care in NICU, PICU, CCU, and general pediatric floors.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Travelers will work every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, PALS, NRP (for NICU assignments), and Illinois RRT license (manager is willing to consider applications for Illinois license at the time of offer). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care respiratory therapy experience, including recent acute care pediatric RRT experience within the current year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in multiple pediatric critical care areas such as NICU, PICU, CCU, and general pediatric floors. Strong performance and meeting all other requirements may qualify first-time travelers for consideration.
- Additional Information: Orientation sessions occur every Monday. Dress code is scrubs of any color, with possibility for kid-friendly attire. The ratio is based on a points system. The Electronic Patient Record (EPIC) system is used for documentation.
