Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of RRT experience and active IL licensure.

Details

  • Respiratory Therapy department at a hospital facility
  • Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM start
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist/RRT experience required
  • Active RRT license in Illinois required at time of submission
  • Iowa license also required; if not active, proof of application for IA single-state or compact license required
  • License required if applicable
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
  • ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
  • NRP certification required
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within 24 months required

Additional Information

  • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Weekly orientation held every Monday
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Returning travelers previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
  • Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
  • Limited time-off requests permitted during the winter holiday season
