Shift: Nights 3x12s | 36 hrs/week 

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC
  • Current Montana Respiratory Therapy license
  • BLS required

Description:

  • Provide advanced respiratory care to diagnose, evaluate, treat, and manage cardiopulmonary conditions.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gases (ABGs).
  • Initiate respiratory protocols and interventions based on patient assessments.
  • Administer respiratory medications safely and evaluate patient response.
  • Monitor patients' overall condition and communicate changes and recommendations to physicians and nursing staff.
  • Troubleshoot and operate respiratory equipment to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on self-care techniques, health promotion, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and productivity records.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to other Respiratory Care staff.
  • May float to other departments within scope of competency and may be placed on-call based on department needs.
