Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist, PEDS specialty, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position involves providing quality intensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, patient assessments, and respiratory procedures. The role requires a license in hand and offers a rotation of day and night shifts with rotating weekends. The assignment is for a duration of eight weeks, starting as soon as possible.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license in the state, ventilator weaning experience, and at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory care is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist will perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory treatments, operate ventilatory equipment, and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care. Responsibilities include conducting pulmonary function tests, chest x-ray review, rhythm recognition, and airway management. The role involves documentation, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with physicians regarding patient therapy. CPR certification according to BLS and ACLS guidelines is required.
