Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist, PEDS specialty, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position involves providing quality intensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, patient assessments, and respiratory procedures. The role requires a license in hand and offers a rotation of day and night shifts with rotating weekends. The assignment is for a duration of eight weeks, starting as soon as possible.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license in the state, ventilator weaning experience, and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory care is advantageous.
• Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist will perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory treatments, operate ventilatory equipment, and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care. Responsibilities include conducting pulmonary function tests, chest x-ray review, rhythm recognition, and airway management. The role involves documentation, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with physicians regarding patient therapy. CPR certification according to BLS and ACLS guidelines is required. Candidates must be able to perform arterial punctures and manage ventilator systems effectively.
