Job Summary:
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist in a healthcare setting. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including ventilator management, airway Clearance, and monitoring procedures. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, evaluating treatment plans, and educating patients and families. The provider will support procedures such as bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and arterial punctures, ensuring adherence to established policies and guidelines.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Respiratory Therapy (RT), valid license, and previous experience in pediatric respiratory care required; no minimum years of experience specified
  • Preferred Qualifications: Ventilator Weaning experience, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Pediatric Respiratory Therapy training
  • Additional Information: Performs routine respiratory assessments, manages ventilatory equipment, and assists with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Monitors patient response, conducts pulmonary function tests, and maintains accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress. Follows all policies related to laboratory testing and respiratory treatment protocols. Communicates effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Performs basic life support and advanced cardiac life support procedures as required.
