Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel position requiring RRT certification and experience across ICU, ER, Nursery, and Med Surge settings.
Details
- Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy department covering ICU, ER, Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg floors
- Patient population ranges from newborns to adults, including high-risk deliveries and pediatric intubation cases
- Uses Drager V500 and V60 BiPAP ventilators, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, AirVo high-flow oxygen units, NeoPuff, and Ram cannula
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours including weekend rotation
- No call requirements
- Floats to all areas of the hospital, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
Requirements
- Active RRT license required if applicable
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Experience in adult ICU, ER (including pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation), Level 1 Nursery, and Med Surg required
- Experience attending high-risk C-sections and participating in resuscitation teams required
- NICU and PICU experience preferred
- Strong assessment skills and experience with specified respiratory equipment required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations throughout the hospital
- Participate as part of the resuscitation team for high-risk deliveries
- Function as part of a multidisciplinary care team across multiple units
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude expected
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility will be considered local, which may affect pay rate but not eligibility
- Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Candidates who worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days being a reasonable amount for a 13-week contract
- First-time travelers may be considered
