Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing respiratory care services across all patient care areas of the hospital, including emergency department and general care units, with a focus on pediatric patients. The role requires a skilled and resilient professional to support critical care and emergency services during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with start times from 1830 to 0700, totaling 36 hours per week for 13 weeks starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/02/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Associates Degree, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted but must obtain RRT within one year, active Wisconsin license, proactive in pediatric experience for night shifts, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, NICU experience highly preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required across various hospital units and other healthcare locations within the organization, with advance notice.
- Additional Information: Support includes ventilator management, patient assessment, emergency response including Rapid Response and Code Blue, and delivering basic and critical respiratory care to patients of all ages. Candidates must adhere to dress code policies, which include scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes, no smoking or scents, and piercings per dress code policy. Applicants should be resilient, adaptable to change, and capable of managing a high-performance environment. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times.
