Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a 36-hour per week assignment working night shifts, with 8 to 12-hour shifts scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM, and 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The position involves providing respiratory care for pediatric and adult patients within a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role requires working every other weekend, some holidays, and participating in on-call rotation.
Job Details:
- Location: Madison, WI 53792
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS, CRT, RRT (or CRT accepted), WI RCP license. A minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty of respiratory therapy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric and adult respiratory experience, COARC-accredited school for respiratory therapy, NBRC-RRT certification.
- Additional Information:
- Provide aerosolized medication, airway clearance, tracheostomy cares, and sputum inductions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Work with non-invasive and mechanical ventilation at IMC and ICU levels.
- Participate in required clinical assessments including telemetry exams with strict passing criteria.
- Floating as needed based on unit requirements; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted.
- Orientation includes 40 hours of training.
- The assignment begins on 08/31/2026.
