Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare facility located in a diverse and dynamic environment. This role involves providing respiratory care to a variety of patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults, across multiple units such as NICU, PICU, ED, and acute care settings. The position is primarily night shifts and requires a flexible, team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for NICU. Education and experience include at least 3 years of tertiary, teaching hospital experience, including adult, pediatric, neonatal critical care, and ED settings.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and cardiothoracic care.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working with varied patient populations on different units using equipment such as Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1 monitors, and other ventilatory devices. The team covers the entire facility, and the workload may include a patient ratio of approximately 1:25 for acute and 1:8 for critical care. The position requires a flexible personality, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
