Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) at a facility in Painesville. This role involves working in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery, providing respiratory care for postpartum mothers and infants in neonatal intensive care. The position requires proficiency in neonatal respiratory procedures, including aerosol therapy, intubation assistance, mechanical ventilation, and high-risk delivery support.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license and state ID; completed UHS Submission Packet; UHS Prior Employment Form; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification with labor and delivery experience; NICU experience; 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy; position located in Painesville; flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medicated Aerosol Therapy, Small volume nebulizers, Patient Education for aerosol, MDI, DPI therapy, DPI, MDI & holding chamber; Medication carts, Omnicell Bar Coding Medication Administration; Familiarity with Manual Ventilation, Intubation assist, Mechanical ventilation administration and maintenance, CPAP administration and maintenance; High Risk Delivery Surfactant administration, T-piece ventilation, Blood gas sampling and analysis, Humidified Therapy, Heated humidity, Aerosol mask, Nasal cannula, and oxygen masks
- Additional Information: Attend deliveries and support the respiratory needs of mothers in postpartum and infants in the specialty care nursery, ensuring adherence to NICU protocols and neonatal respiratory standards.
