Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves independently or collaboratively administering medications, performing therapeutic modalities, diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system, responding to emergency situations, and providing CPR and life support. The position requires evaluating and treating respiratory conditions, delivering aerosol medications, and maintaining oxygen therapy protocols.
Job Details
- Position Description: This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for and of the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations and provides CPR and life support systems.
- Responsibilities (25%): Performs respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations.
- Responsibilities (25%): Delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
- Responsibilities (25%): Responds to all rapid responses, arrest or STAT situations immediately, maintaining artificial airways, and respiration and cardiac compressions.
- Responsibilities (25%): Sets up and maintains all oxygen according to protocol.
- Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications, active Respiratory Therapist (RT) certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), active Michigan state license, two or more years of respiratory therapist experience, previous travel work experience, skills pertinent to respiratory therapy documented within the last year.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel work experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates must submit two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years and demonstrate active certifications and licensure required for the role.
