Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves providing respiratory therapy services for inpatient pediatric, neonatal, adult, and geriatric patients across multiple specialties, including NICU, MICU, Peds, and Adults. The position requires adaptability to various hospital departments and collaboration with intensivists, hospitalists, and anesthesia staff, along with a commitment to bedside care and patient management.

Job Details:

• Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
• Location: Meridian, Idaho
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), with self-scheduling and the need for flexibility to adapt to staffing gaps
• Work Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (AHA)
• Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; open to first-time travelers
• Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform ABGs (radial or brachial) and manage respiratory equipment
  • Comfortable floating between ICU, MICU, MS-Telemetry, ER, and other specialties
  • Experience with NICU Level II and ability to assist with deliveries and initiate Cpap is preferred
  • Ability to assist with intubations but not required to perform independently
  • Willingness to float within multiple hospital locations, including sister facilities
• Responsibilities:
  • Conduct respiratory treatments and manage patient respiratory equipment
  • Perform ABGs and other bedside assessments
  • Collaborate with hospital team members and manage patient care according to SOPs and unit protocols
  • Participate in unit orientation consisting of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor

Additional Information:

• Float Requirements: Floating throughout the hospital and to sister facilities located 10-14 miles away; may be asked to float mid-shift
• On-Call & Standby: Optional; text list available for shift requests with a response time of approximately 30 minutes
• Uniform: Any color, clean, and professional attire
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts with preceptor, including NICU/General and ICU training
• Coverage: May be the only RT in-house during night shifts, with staffing levels ranging from 4-7 staff depending on the shift
• Cardiopulmonary Equipment: Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, EPOC
• Facility Policy: Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the site to ensure compliance with radius rule
• Schedule Flexibility: Self-scheduling; may be asked to trade shifts or rotate based on department needs
• Travel & Cancellations: Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
