Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and Trauma Level I/II experience for a 13-week hospital assignment.

Details

  • Work in a hospital Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
  • Trauma Level I and Level II facility
  • Treats adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric patients
  • Mix of day (3x12 hours, 06:30-19:00) and evening (5x8 hours, 14:30-23:00) shifts totaling 76 hours per pay period
  • Works every 3rd weekend on a 12-hour shift
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Dove Gray scrub color required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • NICU/Pediatric RRT experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Active MN RRT license required (pending accepted, must obtain by start date) - License required if applicable
  • NBRC RRT certification required
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform respiratory therapy duties including ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas draws and interpretation, and chest physiotherapy
  • Administer medications via aerosol, MDI, and other delivery systems
  • Care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, COVID, and other respiratory conditions
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Required to work holidays as needed by the facility
  • Local candidates are not accepted; travelers must reside more than 25 miles from the facility
  • Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • All time off requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
  • Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting must be completed in person on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, per state requirement
