Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift assignment requiring Ohio RCP licensure and ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

- Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
Requirements
- Registered (RRT) or Certified (CRT) Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure required if applicable
- BLS certification through AHA required
- ACLS certification through AHA required
- NRP certification required
- PALS certification through AHA required
- Minimum 18 months permanent experience in the specialty preferred
- Two supervisory references (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) required for consideration
- Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start and updated annually
Additional Information
- Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment and develop plans of care based on diagnosis
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
- Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment based on patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about illness and available community support programs
- Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
- Facility is 100% tobacco free with no smoking or tobacco use permitted on site
- Nicotine-free requirement applies to all travelers except nurses and CSTs
- Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this facility for 1 year from their previous end date
