Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a day shift hospital position requiring EPIC and Cerner experience.

Details

  • Respiratory/Pulmonary department within a hospital setting
  • Provides respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
  • Day shift hours, 36 hours per week
  • Requires experience in both EPIC and Cerner EMR systems

Requirements

  • NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in CA - license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required within the last 3 months
  • Cerner and EPIC experience must be documented in employment history

Additional Information

  • Assesses and documents appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy for patients
  • Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains patient charts
  • Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
  • Provides care to ventilator patients
  • Assists with department record keeping and participates in training and supervision of new employees
  • Documents care given and maintains treatment records
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate with no radius restriction
