Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) for a healthcare provider located in the area. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric, neonatal, and adult patients under physician supervision. The role includes assessing patients, developing respiratory care plans, performing technical procedures, and supporting patient recovery within the hospital setting.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in the state of Texas, BLS certification by the American Heart Association, ACLS certification by the American Heart Association, PALS certification by the American Heart Association, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and one year of experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric and neonatal respiratory care, advanced pulmonary practices such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopies, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Additional Information: This role involves managing airway devices, delivering aerosolized drugs, ventilator setup and management, blood gas analysis, EKG analysis, documentation, equipment maintenance, and participating in hospital surveys. Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, polysomnography, and transport duties.
