Job Summary:

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in a medical-surgical unit on the third floor. This role involves providing respiratory therapy services including ventilator management, ABG analysis, and nitric oxide management, primarily during night shifts. The assignment may require working weekends on a rotating schedule, with no call responsibilities. The position emphasizes team collaboration in a busy hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications including Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); BLS and ACLS certifications; no specific experience required, but ICU experience and nitric oxide experience are preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Nitric oxide management and ventilator experience; ability to assist with bronchoscopies and intubation; team-oriented personality.
  • Additional Information: The unit serves a high-capacity hospital with 368 beds and 34 staff members. Typical procedures performed include ABG, ventilator management, nitric oxide therapy, bronchoscopy assistance, and intubation support.
