Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies, and document patient responses.
- Assess and plan care, implement care plans, and continuously reevaluate patient needs.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines; communicate effectively within the care team.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; uphold clinical standards and safety.
- Maintain accurate charting, provide patient and family education, and respond to changes in condition with appropriate escalation.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state to be determined; licensing will be verified)
- Graduation from an approved nursing program (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
- Telemetry nursing experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Ability to work nights in a hospital setting and adapt to a travel assignment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
