Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in care delivery.
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry data, administer medications per orders, and document care in the charting system.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other members of the care team to ensure safe transitions and timely interventions.
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care through accurate assessments, timely responses to changes in condition, and adherence to standards of practice.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state not specified in notes; applicable to practice in the United States)
- Ability to work nights in a 12-hour shift schedule
- Experience or demonstrated capability to provide care in a telemetry/inpatient setting
- Strong clinical judgment with the nursing process and patient safety at the forefront
