Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes in collaboration with the care team.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy, and monitor for adverse effects.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, ensuring clinical standards are met.
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines and communicate effectively across the care team.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to prioritize patient needs and ensure safe, quality care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Telemetry or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work nights and participate in a travel assignment
