Description

Immediate Registered Nurse (RN) travel contract opportunities available with our Medical Rehab Unit in Roswell, NM.

Pay Rate:
  • $50.00/hr (local candidate pay rate)
  • $2,686/week (travel pay package if qualified)

Available Work Schedules:

  • 6:00am - 6:30pm (Saturday to Tuesday) - Acute or Med Surg experience
  • 6:00pm - 6:30am (Thursday to Sunday) - Acute or Med Surg experience
  • 6:00pm - 6:30am (Monday to Thursday) - Detox and chemical dependency experience
  • 6:00am - 6:30pm (Thursday to Sunday) - Detox and chemical dependency experience
  • 48 hours per week guaranteed 

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: 13 week assignment (possible extensions)

Job Details

  • Assess the daily needs of subacute or long-term care residents and assign the appropriate staff to meet the nursing care needs of residents on more than one unit on assigned shift.
  • Supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing care provided to the resident on the assigned shift and ensure all charting is complete
  • Document and update the nursing care plan regarding all changes and needs of the residents.
  • Communicate effectively and respond appropriately to issues and concerns of residents and families.
  • Initiate and participate in residents/family educational programs.
  • Ensure that unit staffing is within established guidelines
  • Effectively communicate with nursing supervisor, director and nursing staff all pertinent data and information relevant to nursing resident care, accidents, incidents

Qualifications

  • NM Registered Nurse
  • RN needs to have either:
    • Acute or Med Surg experience
    • Detox and chemical dependency experience
  • Clinical practice experiences working with an adult or aging population in a clinical setting
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • RN with prior experience in long term care preferred
