Patient Ratio: Approximately 5:1
Nursing Support Technicians available
Phlebotomy support available
Unit Secretary available during night shift
ED and admitting unit participate in nurse handoff

Trauma patients
Gunshot wound patients
Spinal injuries
Quadriplegic patients
Paraplegic patients
= Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical experience, preferably in a high-acuity or trauma setting
Previous travel nursing experience required
EPIC experience required
Strong acute-care assessment and critical-thinking skills
Comfortable caring for complex surgical and trauma patients
Must be willing to work assigned night shifts
= Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity surgical and trauma patients
Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor changes in condition
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
Monitor vital signs, neurological status, pain levels, and other clinical indicators
Provide care for complex surgical and traumatic injuries
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing support staff, and interdisciplinary team members
Complete accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
Participate in nurse-to-nurse handoff with the ED and admitting units
Maintain patient safety and follow hospital policies, procedures, and infection-control standards
Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Certifications:
BLS required
ACLS preferred
RN License required
