Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver direct clinical care to assigned patients during surgical procedures in the operating room per shift.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, maintain sterile technique, and ensure adherence to perioperative safety standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader OR team to coordinate care and ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide supervision and direction to other staff as appropriate, ensuring tasks are delegated safely and accurately.
- Support the facility Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high-quality, safe, evidence-based nursing care and managing clinical resources.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license (California)
- Operating Room nursing experience or demonstrated perioperative competency
- Education: graduate of an approved nursing program (RN degree; ASN or BSN acceptable)
- Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment and perform required 8-hour shifts
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and credentialing as part of the assignment
