Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Fort Myers, Florida. Start date 11/30/2026 for a 13-week engagement with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shifts are 10 hours per day, four days per week (10x4) with call coverage. The role is within a hospital setting and requires prior travel experience, as well as robotic and ortho/neuro experience. Epic EMR is used for documentation. Active Florida or compact license at submission is required. The assignment includes floating within a 50-mile radius and requires RTO to be submitted with the profile.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult patients in the operating room
- Assist surgeons and maintain sterile technique across orthopedic, oncology, bariatric, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotic cases
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, respond to changes, and coordinate with the surgical team
- Document perioperative care and intraoperative events in Epic EMR; ensure accurate handoffs to the PACU
- Collaborate with circulating nurses, scrub techs, anesthesia providers, and other OR staff
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality guidelines; participate in continuous improvement and standard workflows
- Participate in call coverage and scheduling as defined by the unit and assignment
Requirements
- Active Florida or compact RN license at time of submission
- OR nursing experience: minimum 2 years
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Robotic, orthopedic, and neuro surgery experience required
- Epic EMR experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float to other sister campuses within a 50-mile radius; RTO must be submitted with profile
