Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the OR, including preop and postop support and intraoperative monitoring.
- Maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team with instrumentation and equipment management.
- Monitor patient status, identify and respond to anesthesia-related events in collaboration with the anesthesia team.
- Document intraoperative events accurately and provide clear handoffs to the PACU.
- Support room turnover, specimen handling, and equipment readiness while adhering to safety and infection-control protocols.
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience
- Ability to perform 10-hour day shifts across a four-day workweek for a travel assignment
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, perioperative nursing protocols, and patient safety
