Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Renal Unit – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. 13-week assignment with biweekly orientation.

• Work in a 36-bed specialized Renal Unit caring for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with focus on post-hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care

• Opportunity to support patients throughout their entire renal care journey from diagnosis to treatment
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours
• Flexibility to work 36 or 48 hours per week based on preference

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• ASN degree (Associate of Science in Nursing) required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; 18 months may be considered with at least 1 year in specialty area
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
