Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to adult patients on the Med Surg unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses; manage IVs and drains as ordered
- Monitor vital signs, identify changes in condition, and respond to clinical alarms and emergent situations
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and case managers to develop and adjust care plans; participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety protocols, and AHA BLS guidelines; document accurately and timely
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
- Must be able to meet travel assignment requirements and pass standard background and credentialing checks
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
