Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
- Ensure that all patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care that results in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining the highest level of patient safety.
- Assess and take steps to improve quality of patient experience.
- Support staff development, participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California (RN).
- Demonstrated unit leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
- Ability to supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-safety focus.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN).
- Ability to work in a hospital-based travel assignment with a 5x8 day schedule.
