Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns on the OB/Maternal and Nursery unit; monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to evolving conditions
- Assist with labor and delivery, support cesarean and vaginal birth processes as appropriate, and deliver postpartum and newborn care per orders
- Administer medications and interventions per obstetric protocols; manage pain relief and monitor labor progression
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, document in the Epic EMR, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with obstetric, neonatal, anesthesia, and support staff; participate in call coverage (12 hours per calendar month) and maintain readiness to respond to emergencies
- Float to other units or sister campuses as needed; adhere to unit ratios and institutional policies
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific) required; licensure will be verified
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of LDRP/Labor and Delivery experience
- Degree accreditation must be listed on the profile or the candidate must have at least 5 years of L&D experience
- Ability to float to sister campuses as needed; 50-mile radius rule from perm address applies; RTO must be submitted with submittal; Epic EMR experience is preferred
