Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring obstetric patients and postpartum mothers.
- Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; read and interpret telemetry strips.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies, assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and coordinate perioperative care.
- Administer medications and support perioperative care as ordered; assist with postpartum recovery.
- Document in the EPIC electronic health record; educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with obstetric physicians, anesthesia, and nursery teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience with OR circulator experience.
- EPIC experience.
- BLS and NRP certifications; NRP course lessons completed and not expiring during the assignment.
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently; pass telemetry test Day 1 with 85%+.
- Travel experience required.
- Completion of Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course (preferably AWHONN).
