Responsibilities
- Provide RN care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure monitoring
- Assist IR procedures with sterile technique, equipment setup, and patient positioning
- Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and sedation levels; respond to changes in patient status
- Administer medications as ordered and maintain accurate medication administration records
- Document care, procedures, and patient responses clearly in the chart; communicate with the IR team
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, perform post-procedure recovery tasks, and provide patient and family education as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience within Interventional Radiology or Procedural Care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Ability to work in a hospital-based IR/procedural setting
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and adhere to the schedule (40 hours weekly)
- Geographic restriction: no local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
