Registered Nurse – Infusion in an outpatient infusion unit (travel assignment) located in Utica, New York. This is a hospital setting with a 13-week assignment starting November 16, 2026. Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other IV infusions to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient infusion unit
- Monitor patients during infusion, assess for adverse reactions, and track vital signs; respond to infusion reactions promptly
- Prepare, label, and administer IV medications; manage IV access and line maintenance
- Set up and operate infusion equipment, including Alaris pumps and elastomeric devices; troubleshoot as needed
- Utilize EPIC for orders and documentation; coordinate with pharmacy via Omnicell; communicate with the care team using Ascom
- Ensure patient safety and infection control standards; assist with blood product administration as required; function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and float to related areas as needed
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) and ability to practice in the work setting
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and chemotherapy (chemo) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient infusion
- Chemo-certified; experience administering chemotherapy to adult and geriatric populations
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR; Omnicell; Ascom; glucometer preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient infusion environment, including blood product administration; comfortable in a fast-paced unit
- Locals within a 75-mile radius eligible for local rate
