Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based care for critically ill patients in the ICU, including respiratory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive medication administration
- Manage CRRT and Prismaflex therapy as part of patient care; monitor for complications and collaborate with the care team
- Perform neuro assessments, monitor ICP/ventriculostomy where applicable, and respond rapidly to clinical changes
- Document in EPIC EMR with accurate orders, assessments, and progress notes; participate in handoffs and care planning
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to deliver comprehensive ICU care
- Float as needed to other ICU units; maintain competencies across neuro, trauma, and CV ICU settings; adhere to unit-specific protocols
Requirements
- Active NY RN license with Nursys verification; ALL active RN licenses must be documented
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EPIC EMR experience required
- ICU experience: minimum 2 years; 4–5 years preferred
- Travel experience required
- Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
- Heart-/cardiac ICU experience highly preferred
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (time-off) requests must be included at submission
