Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including monitoring, assessment, and timely response to changes in condition
- Manage ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and integration of therapies as ordered
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor for adverse effects, and manage IV lines and drains
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and care planning
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs at shift change
- Respond to emergencies (codes/rapid responses) and participate in Critical Care interventions as part of the code team
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment and handle complex patient care
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment starting 11/16/2026
- Location constraint: No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
