    Overview
    Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (travel) in Saratoga Springs, NY. Start date 10/05/2026 for a multi-week assignment in a 36-bed ED, on a 3x12 night shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,168 to $2,321 per week with no guaranteed hours. This position is in a hospital emergency department and requires active New York RN licensure in hand at submission, with eligibility to float within the hospital as needed.

    Responsibilities
    - Deliver direct patient care in the ED for neonatal through geriatric patients, including triage, assessment, crisis management, and disposition decisions
    - Administer medications and therapies, initiate IV access, monitor vital signs, and respond to acute changes in patient status
    - Interpret 12-lead ECGs, manage telemetry, and recognize/intervene in dysrhythmias
    - Collaborate with Respiratory, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Translation services, Transportation, and Unit Secretary to coordinate care
    - Document accurately in the Epic electronic charting system and utilize Omnicell for medication administration
    - Maintain patient safety, infection control, and privacy standards; participate in debriefs and post-shift handoffs
    - Onboarding expectations include passing a proctored rhythm identification exam and completing an EKG/Relias exam as part of orientation

    Requirements
    - Active New York RN license in hand at time of submission
    - BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required at start
    - Proctored rhythm identification exam with >80% overall accuracy and 100% accuracy identifying critical rhythms; EKG/Relias onboarding exam completed as part of orientation
    - Current ED experience; preferred: 5 years in an Emergency Department
    - Rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills; ability to obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs; telemetry experience
    - Epic charting experience and Omnicell medication system knowledge
    - Ability to float within the hospital per manager discretion/skillset
    - Preferred certifications: ACLS, TNCC, Level I Trauma experience, Triage experience
    - Vaccination requirements: Flu vaccine required by 11/1 (exemptions with documentation accepted at least 2 weeks before start); COVID-19 vaccine not required
    - Education: RN degree/education aligned with licensure requirements
    - Location restrictions: must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; travelers from excluded counties (Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster) are not accepted
