Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid and current RN license.
- Knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and therapeutic diets.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations, including CPR proficiency.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to follow detailed policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
- Experience in a correctional or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with mental health or psychosocial assessments.
- Proficiency in documentation systems and electronic health records.
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills.
Educational & Experience Expectations:
- Graduate of a state-approved nursing program.
- Previous nursing experience, especially in correctional, emergency, or institutional healthcare settings, is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods.
