Job Summary:
The Healthcare Professional, Clinic (No Specific Specialty), located in Sonora, California, is responsible for utilizing adult educational principles and leadership skills to meet the comprehensive needs of clinical staff and patients/significant others in a safe, caring, and professional manner. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, education, and effective communication with physicians, departments, and staff, supporting the ongoing development of clinical skills through professional development and serving as a role model for other clinicians.
Job Details:
- Location: Sonora, California
- Schedule: Rotating shift, approximately 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California; valid CPR or BLS certification; two years of experience preferred, including familiarity with Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) regulations and educational roles such as Director of Staff Development
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing; ACLS certification; experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities and self-starter attitude
- Essential Functions: Coordinates orientation for new hires, mentors staff preceptors, develops and facilitates clinical and educational programs for staff, patients, and community, and maintains documentation of education and competency records. Acts as a patient advocate, participates in performance improvement activities, and conducts staff education in clinical and classroom environments. Provides clinical resources, monitors program effectiveness, and supports research dissemination relevant to nursing practices and patient outcomes.
- Additional Information: The role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic clinical environment. Previous experience working within SNF regulations and in educational leadership is highly preferred.
