Job Summary:
Registered Dietitian position in a long-term care and inpatient setting. This full-time role involves managing and directing inpatient nutritional services, conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, and participating in quality improvement projects. The role requires collaboration with medical staff and team members to deliver patient-centered nutritional care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, working 8 hours per day with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited institution; active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); one or more years of dietitian experience; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Covid vaccine (exemptions allowed).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in long-term care and inpatient clinical settings.
- Additional Information: Responsible for evaluating patients for nutritional risks, developing care plans, documenting assessments in electronic medical records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Approximately 40% of the work involves long-term care, 50% inpatient care, and 10% project-related tasks. On-call duties include every other weekend on-site, working Sundays during on-call weekends.
